This holiday season, I’ll be running a donation drive for Operation SafeHouse. Operation SafeHouse is a local organization here in Riverside County that provides emergency shelter, intervention and out reach services to runaway, homeless or other youth in crisis. Their programs are designed to improve the health and wellness of their clients. They provide emergency housing for youth aged 11-17, and transitional housing for homeless youth ages 18 to under 21. In addition, they offer mental health and wellness services to youth aged 16-25 in crisis. They can provide help in school, coping and support training, individual and parent counseling, and assistance with diagnosis if needed.
When I reached out to SafeHouse about the drive, they offered to give me a tour of one of their facilities in town. It's a nice, clean home that offers about 15 beds. They had a lovely kitchen area and living room where they let the kids decorate early for Christmas. They had a great outdoor space where I saw kids playing on a basketball court, along with a recreation room where they can paint, dance and watch movies. They also had a classroom on the property where the kids can learn and maintain a structure and schedule.
I feel this organization is providing such amazing services for our community, and I'd love to spread some holiday cheer to the youth at the facility. I've attached the Wish List below from SafeHouse.
If you're able to bring a donation from the Wish List, I'll give you a complimentary hair mask treatment to take home!
Donation Drive ends December 17th.
I truly appreciate your support and can't wait to see you soon!
